Linda and Mark Garthwaite  welcome you to Kenneggy Cove Holiday Park

                   Different from the average
A well laid out park,  with islands of shrubs amongst the lawns. Did I say lawns? yes I did. As opposed to those sites in fields this seems like camping in a large garden, which I suppose we are, given that the friendly owners live on site! Great views of the sapphirine sea too! Very pleasant. The pitches are well spaced out with just 60 pitches in 4 acres. The nine holiday homes are in a separate area and also benefit from extensive sea views. This park attracts people who seek peace and quiet as there is a strict rule of no noise after 10pm or before 8am. Won't suite everyone, but it certainly suited me!

Facilities: Electric hook-ups are available for 23 of the pitches. The toilet Facilities are spotlessly clean and maintained to a high standard. There's an indoor washing up area with free hot water (all hot water is free in fact), a well equipped laundry with free ironing facilities, baby changing room and family bathroom. The site shop, although small is well-stocked and the takeaway is well worth trying!. There's a play area for children and a public telephone.

Locality: From the park there's a walk of about 12 minutes leading down to the coastal footpath and Kenneggy Sands, a sheltered, sandy beach.  The beach is accessed by crossing the rocks from the neighbouring cove at low tide. Well worth the effort - the water offers safe swimming and because there is no vehicle access, the beach is never crowded (it does not appear in beach guides) and is almost private to the site! All in all, a quality site with a friendly welcome, offering good value for money, a good location, excellent beaches close by and within easy reach of the 'must-sees' of West Cornwall. It's one of those campsites where people return year after year. I can see why. Roy McCoy Aug 2005
